Inauguration of "Pearl Jubilee" at St. Paul Campus

Energy conservation is the need of the hour, as the rapid consumption of non-renewable energy is leading to its constant depletion and is a cause of great concern for every Environmentalist & Environment lovers.

This year being the "Pearl Jubilee" year of St. Paul Sr. Sec. Co-Ed School, the school management wishes to contribute their service towards the environment and energy conservation. To inaugurate the "Pearl Jubilee" the School Management along with the Principal Rev. Fr. Sebi embarked upon the installation of the Solar Panels to generate 25 KW of electricity at the 1st Phase, thus to develop and create awareness among Paulines regarding the value of environment and the need to conserve it, thereby to develop sensitivity towards Mother Earth.

For its inaugural ceremony, the School Management was delighted to have the Minister of State for Cooperation, Panchayat & Rural Development – Shri. Vishwas Sarang, Mr. Surendra Badika, MIC member & Counselor of Ward No. 64, along with Mr. Sachin Mishra, President Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Colony. Mr. Pandey, Editor and other staff members of Nav Duniya Group of Publications also graced the occasion with their presence. During this occasion the school also initiated tree plantation ceremony. 30 saplings were planted to mark the inauguration of the Pearl Jubilee Celebration.

On this occasion the Hon'ble Minister elaborated the students about the importance of tree plantation and said that one tree has the potential to provide fresh air to five generations. Further he mentioned that today the world is experiencing the global warming at its peak and the only way to beat this issue is through the adoption of ancient Indian practices and culture. He also exhorted the children to pledge our allegiance to our constitution and to the human values, thereby learning to conserve our environment. He encouraged every student to the pledge to be a true Indian through their contribution to the nation.

Looking into the various benefits of Solar energy and its significance in the context, St. Paul Sr. Sec. Co-Ed School took a major decision to install Solar Panels in the campus, to generate 25 KW of electricity that would be supplied to M. P. Electricity Board (MPEB). It's a major step towards the generation and conservation of clean energy that reflects the commitment of the institution towards the environment.

Towards the concluding ceremony Vice-Principal Ms. Rony Joy extended her Vote of thanks to all the dignitaries present on the occasion.
