One day workshop on 'Life Skills' for class VIII students was conducted on 11 August 2018 in the St. Paul School campus, Anand Nagar. The work shop commenced invoking God's presence.
School Manager Rev. Fr. James, Vice-Principal Ms. Rony Joy, Section incharge presided the inaugural session.
Fr. James in his motivational speech encouraged the students. On the occasion he said that students could become great by putting their efforts in all that they do. For this he exhorted that through Passion, Perseverance and Perspiration, one can achieve success.
The aim of conducting the workshop was to help students to solve problem by communicating effectively, building healthy relationship, as well as empathizing with others, thus learning to manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner.
The most striking thing about the workshop was that learning took place in a non-conventional manner. There were interactive sessions where the students got the opportunity to act, to think creatively. A total of 300 students attended the workshop.
Towards the culmination Fr. James appreciated the efforts of the teachers. An open forum was conducted where the students of different groups posed their questions to the panelists.
The programme concluded with the words of gratitude delivered by the President of Junior Cabinet, Shubh Ghiya. He expressed his gratitude on behalf of all the students for providing them an opportunity to be a part of such a workshop, where they could learn different life skills.
