Teachers, the light of the world
The light of the world, the beacon in the dark and the hope that guides us the strength to survive is, our teachers.
Like every school St. Paul School celebrated 'Teachers' Day' on 5th Sept, 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the atmosphere, when teachers dawned with beautiful sarees in the school campus which looked quiet contagious.
The day started by offering a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and St. Mother Teresa as they believed that true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves. The School Manager Rev. Fr. James, School Principal Rev. Fr. Sebi, School Vice-Principals Rev. Fr. Peter and Ms. Rony Joy, School Counsellor Rev. Fr. Shepherd, Rev. Fr. Joby and the Section Coordinators were present for the occasion.
The day had an emotional and recreational touch, where students expressed their gratitude and appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers in molding them to be good citizens of India. Teachers of the school felt special by the enthralling songs, vibrant dances performed by the students of different age groups.
The School Principal, addressing the gathering lauded the St. Paul staff for their exemplary contribution to the school's phenomenal success. He appreciated the sincere efforts of the teachers in playing the catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. He also added that teachers are our nation builders who influence, guide and also lead them to build a prosperous society. He also wished and expressed his gratitude to all the teachers who have given their impeccable contribution in shaping the young generation.
On this noble day the School staff was felicitated for their 100% presence throughout the year. The teaching staff was also awarded for giving their heart and soul in trying to derive out the best from the meritorious students who secured 100% marks in various subjects in class X and XII board exam.
Towards the end the school principal appreciated and thanked the entire St. Paul Family – Staff members, students, parents and well wishers, for showing in a unique way their solidarity and oneness by generously contributing an amount of Rs. 5, 10, 568/- towards Kerala Distress Relief Fund, to reach out the flood victims of the devastated state of Kerala. He also said that such philanthropic activities taken up by the institution not only inculcate human values in the students but also remind each one of us regarding our social responsibilities to make the planet a place worth living.
