EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT
FOLK DANCE COMPETITION

“In diversity lies the beauty and strength of India”.

India is kaleidoscope of diverse culture and traditions. This cultural diversity of India binds the people together like a garland of colourful flowers.

To improve the unity between different cultures, the government of India introduced “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” programme in the year 2015. The purpose is to make the people of India aware about the cultural aspects of various states through cultural exchange programmes.

In this regard St. Paul’s Co.-Ed. School organized folk dance competition for the students of classes I to XII on 14 September, 2022. The theme of the competition was folk dances of Nagaland and Manipur, the partner states of Madhya Pradesh.

A total of 27 students from different classes participated in the competition. The students of classes I to V performed folk dances of Nagaland and classes VI to X performed folk dances of Manipur.

The competition began with an introductory note on the cultural dimensions of our partner states Nagaland and Manipur. Our school Principal Rev. Fr. Jaison appreciated and congratulated the students for their efforts.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Suma Jose.
